Maple – from Sap to Syrup
Uncle Rick, of Uncle Rick’s Sugar House, will give a group of up to ten people the “complete” experience in making maple syrup next spring. Help gather sap, watch the boiling process, taste fresh syrup, smell it being made, and take home a quart of Uncle Rick’s Pure Maple Syrup.

Swedish “huck” Woven Afghan
Swedish weaving has been around for many years. It is sometimes called huck weaving. Swedish weaving is worked by running yarn over and under blocks of thread on a basket weave fabric called monks cloth. Weaving follows a charted pattern to form a design. This afghan is greens on a white monk cloth and is 56” wide and 72” long. It has taken 80 hours to weave. Monks cloth is 100% cotton and is washable on gentle cycle and dried o low heat.

Pennsylvania Rattlesnake “Hunt”
If you spend enough time in the remote areas of northcentral PA, you may eventually run across a timber rattlesnake. But very few people have ever been to a rattlesnake den. Win the chance to visit an actual rattlesnake den in July 2018. This is limited to two individuals at least 16 years of age.
*We will only observe and handle any snakes we find (must have valid rattlesnake permit and PA fishing license to participate in the hunt and handle snake). There is no intention of killing any snakes.
