Jamestown, N.Y. – You may want to give a distinctive gift to someone special this holiday season.
Or perhaps someone is asking what they could give you.
Audubon Community Nature Center (ACNC) has some wonderful opportunities that would make a great gift for giving or receiving and benefit a valuable program at the same time.
Audubon Exclusives are events and services offered by staff, board, volunteers, and friends in exchange for a donation to ACNC. Each one is distinctive and a great way to support nature education.
Want a special night out with friends or loved ones? Why not book a few spots for the upcoming Winter Walk and Wine Tasting in January? Experience a naturalist-led hike through the winter woods. Warm up after the hike in the Nature Center while enjoying a selection of wine tastings provided by Bag & Strings Wine Merchants’ trained staff members. Food pairings to be provided with each tasting.
Do you know someone who would be thrilled to have some guidance on how to spruce up their garden next spring? With nearly two decades of professional gardening experience, ACNC Executive Director Leigh Rovegno is offering up to three hours of consultation which includes a garden plan, plant recommendations, suggested steps, and a timeline. Her focus is to plan, design, and install gardens that are low-maintenance and provide year-round interest.
If your special person would like to try a raised bed garden this spring, Audubon has a pair of dedicated kitchen garden volunteers who would be happy to make that happen.
For someone who is curious about the value of the coin collection they inherited or the change they have accumulated, the long-time president of the Jamestown Coin Club will be happy to give them an appraisal.
Maybe being treated to a venison dinner or a pancake breakfast would be just the right gift for the person dear to you, or even a group of friends.
For something truly unique, you could give a timber rattlesnake “hunt” in Pennsylvania!
Any one of these would make a most distinctive gift. And every one of them would support Audubon’s many programs that connect thousands of kids and adults with nature every year.
